Walk For Nepal Dallas 2019 Press Release
November 3, 2019
Walk for Nepal Dallas held a press conference and a Q&A session on Sunday, November 3rd, 2019 at Nepalese Culture and Spiritual Center (NCSC-Nepali Mandir) in Irving TX to provide a platform for the local media to ask any questions related to Walk for Nepal Dallas 2019 to be held on November 16, 2019.
Walk for Nepal is a common platform for organizing walkathons in cities worldwide to mobilize individuals and organizations interested in the development of Nepal and local organizations. It aims to tap the collective potential of the fast-growing population of Nepalese in the US and around the world to make meaningful contributions to Nepal.
Keeping up with the annual tradition of “giving back to the country”, the Walk for Nepal Dallas team is organizing our 7th annual fundraising walk/run event in partnership with the Teach for Nepal (established to enhance education system in Nepal) and Texas Nepalese Medical Association (established to run Free Health Camp and Health Clinic) at the Bachman Lake Park on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 12 p.m. to 6 pm.
As an appreciation to all walkers and sponsors (individual and business) and to increase attendance, we are waiving the registration fee (typically $15) for 2019 walk. This is a family friendly event and we encourage everyone to bring their children and wear traditional attire to educate our children about our culture and tradition. Through this release, we would like to invite all Nepalese and Nepalese Organizations in DFW to be a part of this noble cause.
