House with Heart (HwH) partners with Walk for Nepal to provide education equipment and furnishings for our Children’s Home and our Children’s Learning Centre, which are being expanded with the construction of a second house at House with Heart. Construction is currently underway and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2018. We are also seeking flood relief aid for a village in eastern Nepal, where much of the village was destroyed and 13 people died in recent floods.
This project by Living Earth Institute (LEI) has lead to declaration of entire Rampurwa (Bara district) as Open-defecation-free VDC. In 2017, Nepal Rising Seattle raised $3000 and partnered with LEI to build 115 toilets. The project was started in January and construction ended in March 2017.

LEI has been working in Bara district for last 8 years and so far built more than 850 toilets. Walk for Nepal Dallas is partnering with Nepal Rising to raise $5000 to build 25 toilets (at a cost of approximately $200/toilet).
Walk for Nepal is partnering with Reaping Home to support its ongoing 'Sponsor a Grandparent' project. ‘Sponsor a Grandparent’ which, as the name suggests, supports senior citizens in need with basic (food and non food) supplies. The main target groups for this project are the elders who are either living alone, those who cannot work or raise livelihood or who have been abandoned by their children. RH aims to help these elderly every month with ration, toiletries enough for each month. The project started with support to 8 senior citizens in Bhimdhunga and looks forward to expand the reach of the support to Kavre and other rural areas.
